"overview": "The Fírâî are five dragons who made themselves gods and unmade their own kind to do it. They are worshipped across Silgolt as sovereigns of time, harmony, art, storm, and prophecy, and the Empire of Revakgol keeps their names as state doctrine. Beneath the doctrine sits the thing the faith does not say aloud: their divinity was purchased with an extinction, and four of the five have spent the ages since arranging not to look at the bill.\n\nTheir common epithet, the Fallen, is usually read as a fall upward, the ascent of mortals into godhood. It is more honest than that. The Fírâî are the latest turn of a lineage that has fallen twice already, and their apotheosis repeated the oldest catastrophe in their blood, this time by their own hand and their own will.",
"the_inherited_fall": "Before they were dragons, the ancestors of the Fírâî were the Rúth'Sunvâr, primordial shapeshifters of warping, metal-bright form, memory-rich and powerful enough to rival the Hah'Slen. They lost the War of One and All, and their punishment was transformation: their fluid bodies were locked into the rigid shape of the first Dragons, and their collective memory was stripped from them. Dragonkind endured for ages afterward as diminished remnants, embers awaiting a spark of memory that never came.\n\nFive of those dragons refused the diminishment. Known then as Vulhânu, Boksul, Rovâlok, Shân, and Sil'lâ, they reached back toward the divinity their bloodline had once approached and been destroyed for approaching. The Ritual of Drakorys gave it to them. It also finished what the Hah'Slen began: the ascension exterminated true dragonkind, the last living vessels of Rúth'Sunvâr memory, and bound the handful of survivors into the lesser, dragonborn form of the Dovagoraan.\n\nThis is the wound at the center of the pantheon. Where the Hah'Slen had punished the Rúth'Sunvâr with forgetting, the Fírâî chose the same annihilation for themselves, called it ascension, and named the ruin they left behind their first miracle.",

Their public unity holds through worship, but their private accord has come apart along a single fault: what they are willing to know about what they did. Two of the Five see it clearly. "Râboksul": "The Time-Weaver denies by abstraction. God of memory in a bloodline cursed with forgetting, he preserves the cost as doctrine, ritual, and legacy so that it never has to be felt as guilt. He remembers everything except his own hand in it.",
"Rârovâlok": "The Harmonic Nexus denies by reconciliation. He insists the ascension was a necessary rebalancing of the cosmos and labors for eternity to compose the harmony that would make the slaughter resolve. It never resolves, because a genocide does not balance.",
"Râshân": "The Divine Muse denies by beauty. She converts the catastrophe into art so that no one, herself least of all, must look at it directly. She lets her work carry the memory so her soul does not have to, and makes the wound gorgeous until it stops reading as a wound."

Each people reads the Five through its own inheritance, and those readings increasingly track the gods' hidden stances. The cults of the deniers need the silence to hold, and so the priesthoods most invested in the pantheon's glory are the ones most committed to not asking what it cost. It is among the Saasytdoono (SÂSYTDɔNO, \"storm-voices\"), the storm-prophets and the divinely mad, that the buried truth still surfaces, spoken as raving and dismissed as such.",
"the_aedhel_rivalry": "The Fírâî's oldest enmity, with the Aedhel gods, is more than a contest of territory. Both pantheons are children of the Hah'Slen and the War of One and All. The Aedhel gods were the Roir'Daiintuz, the Hah'Slen's own faceless servants, who fractured into selfhood and openly mourn the unity they lost. The Fírâî descend from the Hah'Slen's defeated enemies, who were stripped of self and memory and then forced their way back toward divinity across the corpse of their own kind. One pantheon gained selfhood and grieves it. The other lost itself, clawed its way back, and refuses to grieve at all. They are two answers to the same wound in the same broken world, which is reason enough to hate each other for an age.",

"standing_danger": "Yoori cannot be wielded and resists falsehood by nature; manipulated legends built inside it tend to unravel violently. The Fírâî wounded the one power in Nixxia that remembers, and it has been healing without their consent since the Second Age. Faint echoes became visions of a forgotten continent late in the Fourth Age; by the Fifth, expeditions were returning with echo-stones that whisper suppressed dragon lore, and in 12656 MV unearthed Fírâî relics had already reshaped Dragonbrood theology. Yoori is also the magic that makes gods out of belief, which means the Five are divinities resting on a telling that is coming apart. By the Sixth Age the maintenance falls on three gods who cannot afford for it to end, the evidence is in circulation, and the ruined peak where five dragons reached into the world is no longer beyond reach."
