The Súzyngol Federation — citizenship that belongs to the workshop

Grounded on organizations.republic_of_izheim and countries_and_continents.continents.silgolt.nations.izheim.izheim_union (canon_json) for the gnomish craft-republic context and the Silgolt guild baseline; on history.events.the_namuzdus_izheim_innovation_boom, the_deepmetal_accord and the_echoforge_compact (canon_json) for the Deepmetal-to-machinery supply chain; and on the western-cluster entities (kokit, nasun, hihn) for voice and the Nasun archiving convention. Spatial grounding from map/spatial: Súzyngol adjacency to Aalhotikyn, Ohynso, Tovo, Ygtaani, Siltuz, Nasun, Kokit.

Ask

Súzyngol borders six western-cluster states in the spatial data and has no entity. This package fills the one economic role the cluster is missing.

The thesis

Canon establishes a Deepmetal supply chain: Namuzdus mines it, the Echoforge Compact moves it, and Izheim turns it into Kori-infused machinery and clockwork guardians during the Innovation Boom. Nothing in canon covers the middle of that chain — the smelting, drawing, and finishing that has to happen between a raw alloy vein and a gnomish workshop, and which Namuzdus's isolationists would never site inside the mountain.

Súzyngol is that middle. And its institution follows from it: the Shop-Right, under which citizenship attaches to the workshop rather than to the person. A Súzyngoli is a member of the federation because they hold a place in a chartered shop; leave the shop and the citizenship stays behind for the next holder. Political weight belongs to benches, not families or land.

That produces something no other cluster state has: a polity where inheritance is nearly meaningless, mobility is high, foreigners can become citizens in a season by being hired, and the great political struggle is over who may charter a new shop.

Items

  1. country entity — The Súzyngol Federation. The Shop-Right, the Bench assembly, the charter fight, and its position as the finisher of Namuzdus metal and the supplier of Izheim.

Open questions for the human reviewer

  • Naming — resolved, and it turned up something else. An earlier version of this package flagged Kaetijul vs Kaetijulhel as a canon inconsistency. It is not one: -jul is simply the short form of -julhel, so both are correct and the country files just use the long form. This package uses the long form to match its siblings. The real gap the investigation surfaced is that Yukejulhel has no species entity at all — unlike Medesjul, Kaetijul, Jaajul, and Aedhelirjul, it is a Julhel branch named across four canon country files with nothing behind it. That deserves its own package.
  • This package asserts that finishing work on Deepmetal happens outside Namuzdus. That is an inference from the Echoforge/Innovation Boom chain, not something canon states. If the dwarves are meant to control the whole process to finished stock, this entity needs reworking around a different trade.
  • The Shop-Right makes Súzyngol a natural destination for the Kaekreaedhel diaspora (canon: Twisted Elves settling in Namuzdus, Izheim, and Revakgol's undercity). I've written them in as a significant population, since a citizenship rule indifferent to blood is exactly what a persecuted people would migrate toward — but that is my inference and it does place a canon diaspora somewhere new.
  • Whether Súzyngol is a signatory to the Echoforge Compact or merely operates under it is left open.
