The Hihn Confluence — new Silgolt riverland country (spatial-only)

Grounded on map/spatial countries.json (country feature Hihn, id 5), rivers.json (river family Hihn, Hihnso, Hihnsi, Hihnsokek, Hihnzo, Hihnzoly), adjacency.json (Hihn adjacency record), and spatial-brief.md sections for Tovo Duchy, Aalhotikyn Duchy, Ohynso Duchy, Namuzdus Dominion, Siltuz Federation, Súzyngol Federation, Tuzraag Duchy, Ygtaani Duchy, Okâzjuní Union (all reference Hihn). Canon contrast and context: countries_and_continents.continents.silgolt.nations.revakgol.empire_of_revakgol, countries_and_continents.continents.silgolt, history.events.the_twin_pyres_schism, history.events.revakgol_imperial_peak_and_cultural_decay. Species names from Silgolt context (Zegtuzsos, Yukejulhel, Kaetijulhel, Saarotsos). No prior canon entity or candidate package exists for Hihn. Structural sibling: package 66 (Izheim Union).

Ask

Propose a full first-draft country entity for Hihn, a spatial-only country with zero canon lore and no prior candidate package.

Grounding

  • Map/spatial: country feature "Hihn" (countries.json), an adjacency record, and a family of rivers sharing its name stem: Hihn (multiple), Hihnso, Hihnsi, Hihnsokek, Hihnzo, Hihnzoly. The river family is the core of this draft: Hihn is written as a country defined by its water.
  • Spatial briefs of Tovo Duchy, Aalhotikyn Duchy, Ohynso Duchy, Namuzdus Dominion, Siltuz Federation, Súzyngol Federation, Tuzraag Duchy, Ygtaani Duchy and Okâzjuní Union all mention Hihn, placing it among the Silgolt-region polities. Tovo is canon-anchored to western imperial history (West Pyre in the Tovo marches), which supports a west or central Silgolt placement.
  • Canon contrast: Empire of Revakgol (east Silgolt, absolute hierarchy, regulated Tazri, memory-keeping ideology).

Items in this package

  1. Overview (this item) — framing only.
  2. Entity: The Hihn Confluence — complete new country entity draft under a Silgolt nations path.

Design choices

  • Identity flows from hydrology: a braided riverland where the flood calendar, not a throne, structures public life. This deliberately contrasts Revakgol (fire, hierarchy, permanence) with water, seasonality and consensus, while staying distinct from the Izheim Union draft (federalism of provinces vs. governance by watershed).
  • Zegtuzsos (Lizardborn) plurality in the wetlands, Yukejulhel (human) market towns, small Kaetijulhel presence upstream. All species names are canon Silgolt species; the demographic split is invented.
  • No new deities. Local river observance kept animist and unofficial to avoid touching Firraaii canon.
  • Contact with Revakgol limited to trade and the canon institution of the Servants of the Record; no claim that the Empire ever ruled Hihn (canon states the Empire never spanned Silgolt as a whole).
  • Sigtaara-styled exonym "Hihnir" for the demonym (echoing Sigtaara plural forms such as Furaktuzir, Junir); flagged as invention.

Open questions for the human reviewer

  • Exact continent assignment: strongly indicated as Silgolt by neighbor briefs, but I could not read the raw countries.json record through the MCP. Please verify against the map before promotion.
  • Which of the nine brief-linked polities are true land neighbors vs. merely nearby.
  • The spatial brief appears to carry no government-form label for Hihn (searches for Kingdom, Duchy, Union, Federation, Dominion, Republic, Empire, Principality, Horde, Theocracy, League, Protectorate combined with Hihn all returned nothing). This draft leans into that absence diegetically; overrule if the map does specify a form.
  • Capital settlement name and whether to create a settlement entity.
  • Founding date, currency name, official language list.
