The Great Forgetting

canon/json/history/events/the_great_forgetting.json

The Fírâî's second crime: in the year after their ascension they tore wounds through Yoori, the magic of collective belief, and used them to suppress all memory of dragon origins and of the Ritual of Drakorys across every people in the world. The suppression ran in phases for twelve hundred years, ending with dragons reduced to symbol everywhere. The wounds were never closed and are maintained still by three of the Five; Yoori resists falsehood by nature and has been healing without their consent since the Second Age.
